Hello class!
This is the last post of the year! It's sad to hear that but we all need a rest, and we especially need summer! In fact, summer is our topic for today. I've prepared some videos, some photos and a song. How cool! Ready, go!
First, what do you know about the British summer? Probably you even think, summer? What summer?
You're partially right....
Well, everybody knows British people's obsesion with Spain to enjoy their summer. Hello, Benidorm! There's even a popular British TV serie set in Benidorm which has 9 seasons! Oh dear!. Look:

Does that mean that British people don't have good beaches or that they don't go to them? Of course not, they have lovely seaside towns with their sand or pebbles, their sea water, their souvenir shops and their lovely fish and chips restaurants. In fact, their beaches are known by their amusement parks which are built on their old piers. See this one in Brighton.
So, even though the weather is not actually good during the summer, you can enjoy a few days under the sun. Do you want to see what people do in a seaside city? Watch this video filmed in Southend.

Let's continue with another summer stereotype: ice cream! Do British people eat ice cream? Yeah, probably more than us since ice cream vans drive around the cities they whole year! Any city!

As this year is a bit special, many of us won't travel a lot this summer, so why not planning on some online travelling through the British main holiday attractions? Here you have some (Cornwall and Lake District....amazing!) By the way, in case you were wondering, yes, they do have waterparks and swimming pools in Britain!
Last but not least, I've found a hilarius video by a British youtuber about summer weather in Britain. It's funny and catchy! It has subtitles so, if you want you can stop the video and see what the man says. But, you know, getting the whole idea is enough. Don't panic!
